Birds on Bike Ride
The Turkey run was a great success! There were 26 people and 16 bikes that met at Albertsons’s on Cave Creek and Union Hills. Mike and Kaye Bodine were gracious enough to drive their truck and we all loaded our turkeys in.The weather was perfect and the spirts were high.
After a short informational and inspirational briefing we took off making our way through town and down to Saint Vincent de Paul’s. The staff and volunteers were there with open arms greeting us and our numerous turkeys and donations. We hung out there for a short period socializing with the staff and other riders.
The group then departed to Culinary Dropout on 7th Street where we enjoyed a nice lunch and some more camaraderie with our fellow members.
I am certainly proud of this group, giving up their Sunday to give back and donate to such a wonderful organization that helps the less fortunate.
