šReview of Last 2 Monthsš-
We had a great July ride.Ā It was hot and a small group of riders still went to Kirkland and Baghdad.Ā Thank you to Mark & Margo for hosting.
We had two great dinner socials in June & July.
The premier ride to Colorado was amazing.Ā The hotel was in a great location and provided breakfast and happy hour.Ā There were 73 people and just over 50 bikes.Ā Some rode the train to Cascade Canyon, others whitewater rafted or zip lined, and yes there was a lot of great riding including seeing Silverton, Ourey, and Mesa Verde.Ā We had a wonderful Mexican fiesta with a band and lots of dancing.Ā The last night there was a great farewell dinner at an Italian restaurant in town. Everyone had a blast together and got home safe.Ā A big thank you to Curtis, Kevin, and Melanie.
We had the annual summer party with just over 50 guests.Ā A big thank you to Chuck and Carleen for hosting at their beautiful home and to Paul Philips for bringing his bandĀ to play.
A great WOW meeting. Ā The ladies of BMMC had a wonderful time gathering, eating and laughing together.
š¦Up & Comingš¦- no rides planned on August due to the heat.Ā If you want to ride, please throw out an invite on the forum and invite others.
Sept - ride to Cottonwood.Ā Lunch at the Black Bear diner in Cottonwood.Ā It should be a great day with a new place to stop by and refuel your stomachs.
October 17th - is our ride to Palm Springs.Ā We will stay right near the bustling downtown so you can walk to all the hot spots.Ā We will also take a ride to Big Bear Lake.
November are the Veterans day ride and Birds on Bikes.
Christmas Party - new caterer and we are moving back to the Armenia Church on December 6th, mark your calendars.
ā ļøSafety Talk ā ļø from Chuck
Bike riders - when you come upon bike riders on the side of the road proceed with caution.Ā Overall if the riders is a bike lane, there is not a need to go single file, but make sure you give them space.Ā If there is not a bike lane, use your judgement but in many cases we will hold up the sign and go to single file formation.Ā If that is done, it is important to follow it up with the sign to go back to double formation.
Please always pass the signals all the way back.Ā It is important to make sure everyone behind you so all are warned.
RSVP and communicate - it is fine if you want to ride on your own.Ā Just make sure you communicate this.Ā The ride Captain Director and Captains do a lot to put groups together so if someone doesnāt show up they have to redo the ride groups again and again which is very time consuming.Ā Letting us know just makes that a little easier.
We also have a new ride captain. Mickey Calantropio (me lol) was presented with her ride captain hat.
šWOW!! š-Ā Donāt forget the wow meeting is on the last Wednesday of the month.Ā Stay tuned for details.
