~December Meeting Notes ~

🍗November 🦃 was jam packed! The Veterans Day ride was a success, a nice ceremony in Anthem followed by a great ride to Dylan’s for some BBQ. That evening the board of Directors met and new board members joined. A wonderful social with 34 in attendance. Then we closed out the month with an overnight ride to Lake Havasu with 35 members. The group danced and laughed the night away at Mustang Sally’s. Thank you to the Boomers and Gerbers for hosting. The ride captains met on the 19th. We finished the month strong with the Turkey trot ride with 21 people on 14 bikes to donate Turkeys to St. Vincent de Paul.

🎄December 🤶is starting off with a bang. There were 93 people at the meeting this morning. Nancy did a great job and we had cheese blintz and biscuits and gravy today. The annual Christmas party is tonight. 82 of us will be having a blast dancing the night away. You can bring your own alcohol but it must be labeled and given to the bartenders. We have the frosty balls ride coming up on the 21st down to Florence. Please join us for a day of fun, great riding, and even a great band if you stay at the River Bottom.

🧑‍✈️👩‍✈️A ride captain update from Chuck. We are planning more robust learning for ride captains this year. They will also be taking our quiz. More use of the pre-ride notifications this year and watching our speeds for 2025. We will also be taking more notes to assure we are updating members with more safety. Please also be aware when you are in a ride that you may get feedback from a ride captain. Please understand that we are trying to make the club safe and fun for everyone. If they speak to you please know that it comes from a good place. Take it, understand it, thank them, and keep going. Do not take it personal. There is an advanced rider course coming up at a discount. Looks like this will be in January and there are a significant # of people that would like to join. We already have 12 signed up and 12 more spots are available. Let Dave Slepak know and he can get you in the list. You can also possibly get a reduction in your insurance if you take this. At this time trikes are not allowed however Dave is working on a special for Trikes- please take to him if you are interested.

🏍️ Riders Guide 🛵 - please take the time to read this for the first time or even again as it is a great reminder of how we ride as a club.

🛏️ Pajama’s 💤- these go to 40 agencies that will benefit from your donations. Thank you for all those that brought them today - you are making a huge difference in the children’s lives. Sorting party on 12/17 in Cave Creek, invitation going out soon.

📝Board members 📝- the line up for 2025 is the same. Mike Calantropio - President, Wendy - Vice President/Secretary with Gina taking over sometime in 2025, Tom Dennis - Treasurer, Chuck Biehn - Ride Captain Director, Kevin Grant - assisting Chuck. Jerry Russel - voted to the Emeritus board.

📆Ride schedule for 2025 📆- set to be released soon. Please plan ahead as we would love to see you. Thank you to everyone for the ride suggestions, that was a tough decision, but we think we’ve put together a schedule for 2025. There are some great new rides this year and the premier ride will go to Durango, Colorado this year in July 16-20.

✅Calling all hosts ☑️ - if anyone is interested in hosting the 2025 Christmas party on Dec 6th. Please reach out to Wendy if you are interested. Lucia and Carleen have written instructions so it will help those who decide to host next year.

🏆The premier ride 🏆 - Hotels are already booked in most places. RSVP now please. We will be at Best Western and a Holiday Inn there. A nice closing dinner at an Italian restaurant. Make reservations NOW!! There will be a 1 day and 2 day ride option to get there. Hotels are already booked out so this is critical. We will have hosted dinners, great rides, hot springs, and lots of fun. Rafting on Thursday too or zip lining in Mesa Verde. Hope to see you there.

💃BMMC ladies group 🏍️- we started a women’s group. Tonya Sarkisian was inspired to start this along with other ladies at the Premier ride in Temecula. Lady riders and passengers welcome. We are meeting the last Wednesday of every month. Jan will be at Lisa Gaeta’s home. We are voting on a name now.

🎉December birthdays 🎂 - Richard Geubenhoff, Jim Ohara, Paul Philips, Gary & Lorrie Tuerschmann, Jeanie Adee, Peggy Gerber, Beth Phillips, Masha Solomon, Lucia Wheele, and Mike Calantropio.

🕦30th anniversary 🕣- we are honoring our founding members with an awesome commemorative patch. They are for sale for $10 - no limit on how many you can get. This is not a replacement patch but homage to our founders.

50/50 raffle - 4 winners at $200 each! Winners were Jim Boomer, Chuck Biehn, Scott Turner, and Beth Stiere who is one of our guests and was a previous member (maybe she will rejoin 😉).

Merry Christmas everyone!!
