We received an email on the BMMC website that I wanted to share if anyone is interested in the cause of helping Donkeys.

I am a volunteer with The Donkeys of the Heart, a 501( c) 3 non-profit located in Cave Creek. Our mission is to provide Equine Assisted Services exclusively to children and adolescents facing mental health challenges, including cognitive and behavioral disorders. We utilize donkeys as cofacilitators; other organizations use horses. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for our participants. I personally have had the opportunity to observe a few sessions. It is so heartwarming to see the progress of a child, to hear their laughter, to observe their bond they have with their donkeys. It’s even more enlightening to speak to the parents and read their testimonials
