About the Event
Join us on our second Veterans Day ride, held on Saturday, November 11!
We will meet in the McDonalds parking lot on Carefree Hwy, near I-17. Arrive gassed up and Ride Captains meeting will be at 10:00am, group meeting at 10:15am and kickstands up at 10:30am.
We will head up N. Gavilan Peak Pky for a short 10 minute ride to the Anthem Veterans Memorial, located at 41703 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway, Anthem, AZ 85086. The memorial will be very busy and we ask you to find parking wherever you can, on your own. We will meet near the actual memorial for pictures, fellowship and to watch the sun shine through the memorial, displaying the Grand Seal of the United States of America at 11:11am.
Again, parking may be a challenge so leave on your own and we will regroup just north of the memorial, in the Safeway parking lot. We’ll depart there at 11:50AM to ride Morristown for lunch, avoiding I-17, going south on Gavilan Peak Parkway, west on Carefree Hwy (Highway 74) and turning southeast on Hwy 60 to Dillons.
Lunch is at Dillons at Western Trails Ranch at about 12:30PM. After lunch, it’s as you wish and ride more or return home.
