Premier Ride to Santa Fe, NM

Our 2022 Premier Ride will be to Santa Fe, New Mexico, August 22nd – 26th. Santa Fe is a city unlike any other, truly living up to its tagline, The City Different, at every turn. The Summers in Santa Fe are packed with exciting music, art markets and lots of outdoor entertainment.

HOTEL INFO:

Our hotel accommodations will be at the Hilton, Santa Fe – Historic Plaza.  The Hilton is housed in a 300-year-old hacienda, which features traditional Southwest décor and a kiva fireplace right next to their outdoor pool and hot tub. Just over 300 yards from the Santa Fe Plaza, is the Georgia O’Keefe Museum, and the New Mexico Museum of Art.

We have secured 25 rooms at a rate of $175 per night, which is for either a King or two Double beds. This rate does include an extensive hot and cold breakfast buffet, in The Ortiz Room which is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.  Hotel check-in time is 4:00 PM and check out is 11:00 AM.  When you arrive at the Hilton, don’t forget to get your Welcome Bag from Lucia and Vickie which will include a walking map of the city, suggestions on restaurants and an itinerary of the upcoming spoke rides.

You will notice that after you fill out the form, when you scroll down, there is a tab which indicates “View Optional Services”.  When you click on that tab, it will indicate self-parking $22.00/night.  We originally advised you that the parking would be free, however due to a new General Manager at the Hilton, there will be a charge of $5.00 per night for parking, whether it is for a car or a motorcycle.  The total is $20 for the entire time you will be there.

Check in is at 4:00 PM, however if you want to check in before noon, there is an additional charge of $50.  The earliest check in, with no additional charge, would be at 1:00 PM, and although the hotel will try to accommodate you, there is no guarantee your room will be ready at that time.

If you plan on arriving up to 3 days earlier and leaving up to 3 days later, you have the option of securing the contracted room rate, upon hotel availability.  The room block will end on July 22, 2022.  Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to the event to avoid penalties.  

WELCOME EVENT:

We are planning a wonderful Welcome Buffet Dinner on Monday evening, August 22nd at Rio Chama Restaurant which is within walking distance of the Hilton. 

FAREWELL EVENT:

A Farewell Happy Hour on Thursday, August 25th will be at the Ortiz Bar & Restaurant at the Hilton Hotel.

SPOKE RIDES:

Tom Clements gave a preliminary presentation on possible spoke rides at the April breakfast meeting. They include: Red River, The Turquoise Trail and Los Alamos.  More info to follow.
