Anyone want to be a host? Tom Dennis will be your co-host and help you in everyway if you've never hosted. The day trip is planned for Pine, Strawberry and Camp Verde. It will be a spectacular route of your choice as well as lunch together. Being a host is a great way to contribut to the club! Everyone appreciates the effort of a host. The Turkey run was a great success! There were 26 people and 16 bikes that met at Albertsons’s on Cave Creek and Union Hills. Mike and Kaye Bodine were gracious enough to drive their truck and we all loaded our turkeys in.The weather was perfect and the spirts were high. After a short informational and inspirational briefing we took off making our way through town and down to Saint Vincent de Paul’s. The staff and volunteers were there with open arms greeting us and our numerous turkeys and donations. We hung out there for a short period socializing with the staff and other riders. The group then departed to Culinary Dropout on 7th Street where we enjoyed a nice lunch and some more camaraderie with our fellow members. I am certainly proud of this group, giving up their Sunday to give back and donate to such a wonderful organization that helps the less fortunate. Vulture City Mine Tour On Sunday, 19 Nov 22, 45 intrepid BMMC’ers on 34 bikes and trikes braved the early go in cooler temperatures to make the trek to the Vulture City Mine, just south of Wickenburg. Due to some timing issues we had to adjust the groups spacing, which turned out to be non issue. It was a direct ride with no bio/gas stops planned to meet our arrival window and get wrist bands for the guided tour. The owners of the mine have done an amazing job to bring this once a ghost town back to life. They even had a "Marshalls Gun Fight" demo with real guns and real blanks for sound effects. Nice touch. I don’t believe any riders had any trouble negotiating the small hills and turns in the gravel/hard packed dirt of the mine’s premises on the way to/from the parking lot. Nice job! After the mine tour most of us (some had other commitment and had to break off) proceeded south, southeast, south, east, south, southeast, east, north to arrive for another time window slot and lunch at Waddell’s Longhorn Saloon in Waddell. They have an incredible selection of western type food and I don’t believe anyone left hungry. The return trip toward the starting point (and official end of the ride) was north, east, onto Loop 303 north and ride home. I’d like to thank all of you for braving the cold, the dust, using cash instead of credit cards, and a few 'bumps in the road' (literally) to join me for the day. I’d also like to thank the Ride Captains (Roddy L, Mike C, Mike V, Ed G, Tom D, Phill S, Robert M, and Wayne W) for all their help. They sure made it easy. Hasta, Gene Adee, Ride Captain Host
