Tire Wear Data

Hi I'm researching tires for the Utah trip and wondered if anyone with a large touring bike like Goldwing, Concours 14, BMW K1600 etc. has and real use milage data on Michelin Road 4, 5, or 6 GT. Internet data is all over the board (6k-18K). I'm open to other brands with high milage ratings. Figured because we all ride similarly on similar terrain and temperatures, the data would be most applicable.

My current Shinko Raven 009 tires are getting only 6K Miles on my Concours. Granted they are more of a sport tire...

Thanks.

Thanks, the Michelin W GT's do not come in my size (190 50ZR 17) My bike is originally a "sport bike" only set up for touring by Kawasaki, so tire sizes may be limited to this sort of bike and riding style. Sizes may be my Achillies heel.

Does anyone have real world (Southwest Roads) data on any tire on any large bike (700+lb)? Maybe 5-7K actual mileage is normal and acceptable.

Tire ratings rarely reflect real world mileage clams; however, the Michelin "truck" tires I used to run, clearly outperformed Michelin claims on multiple sets.

The group made it’s way to Baghdad on the 3rd Saturday ride. It was a warm and beautiful day. The group ate at the Diner and had a great time. Thank you to Mark & Margo Boster for hosting.

On June 13th, a bunch of our BMMC’rs got together for a fundraiser and magic show at Spinato’s Pizza. A great event to raise money for Veteran’s. Thank you to Alan Wegener for arranging this.

Ride Captain

Saturday May 30th

I'm looking for someone to come and let my dog, Ruby, out and maybe sit with her a while the evening of May 30th around 7pm for an hour or so. My dance recital is that evening and she can't be left along for more than six hours. If you have the time please reach out to me at 307-689-4702. I'd appreciate it.

PS She is a friendly dog. A bit energetic but loves people.
