On Saturday morning, May 16th, (60) excited members on (43) motorcycles met at The Pavilions in anticipation of an awesome ride to Springerville over the famous Coronado Trail.

It was a beautiful Arizona morning as the members gathered for the pre-ride briefing by ride host, Bart Iden. All of the members had been pre-assigned to one of five riding groups and following Bart’s briefing, they lined up behind their ride captains and headed out in ten minute intervals.

Following a bio-stop in Superior and a gas stop in Globe, the members arrived at the Manor House in Safford for lunch. After lunch, the group traveled to Morenci to top off the tanks and then proceeded to the mine overlook where the groups broke up and members departed independently for the much anticipated (66) mile ride over the beautiful Coronado Trail.

About half- way through the trail, Webmaster, Ray Williams was positioned at a turn taking fantastic action shots as the members were gliding through the corner. If you didn't download your Action Shot, email Ray Williams who will forward your photo to you.

Following a brief rest at Hannagan’s Meadow, the members regrouped and departed for the evening’s destination, The Rode Inn, in Springerville. After checking in and unloading the bikes and getting a quick shower, the members joined ride hosts, Bart Iden and Chris Christner for a festive club sponsored hospitality party. Hearty wings, vegetable trays, chips, salsa and dips were provided. During the party, the members help celebrate Bart Iden’s birthday, complete with a delightful birthday cake.

Following the very successful high spirited cocktail party, the members departed in small groups to enjoy dinner at various restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Sunday morning the hotel parking lot was busy with members loading up their bikes, and discussing the previous day’s fantastic ride and very enjoyable cocktail party. Some members enjoyed the continental breakfast at the hotel, while others departed toward home with a planned stop for breakfast in route.

Everyone would like to thank hosts, Bart Iden and Chris Christner for planning and executing this very enjoyable Run to the Curves Ride. Thanks you guys, outstanding job!
We would also like to thank our ride captains and sweeps for getting everyone safely to Springerville.

A special thanks to Ray Williams for camping out in the sun to capture the spectacular action shots and also documenting our ride with photos for the club slideshow. Also, thanks to Kim Caine, Paul Czarnik, Tom Clements and Roddy Levy for their great photos.

And, a special thanks to all of the members who participated in our Run to the Curves Ride. It was a very special day filled with memories of good friends, great weather, and fantastic riding. It doesn’t get much better than that!
