What a gorgeous day
it was! Bright and sunny, perfect riding weather. This is
definitely one of the many reasons we live in Arizona!
Three gals met at the gas station Tatum and Dynamite at
10:30 on Sunday, March 9th to take advantage of this
golden day. After a quick briefing we were on our way.
Traffic was light, with a lot of activity cruising up to
the ever popular Bartlett Lake to view the lush desert and
spectacular wildflowers peeking out from the craggy rocks
and mountains. Wow! We haven’t had a wildflower show like
this in years!
Unfortunately, Jo Ricker, who planned this great ride, was
unable to attend, therefore Loretta acted as Honorary
Sweep and I stepped in to lead in Jo’s absence.
After lingering at Bartlett Lake and enjoying the weather,
the group headed off to O’Donoghue’s Irish Pub for an
early St. Patty’s Day lunch. As we dined on the outdoor
patio and basked in the sun, we got to enjoy each others
company. The food was excellent, the wait staff was
superb, and however no one deigned to try the corned beef
quesadillas.
Thanks to the following ladies for making this a nice ride
and a wonderful way to spend a sunny, pleasant afternoon.
