January Ladies Only Ride Review

And a good time was had by all!
January 13 turned out to be a perfect, beautiful, sunny day and
one especially made for the BMMC Ladies Ride. We met up at the
gas station in front of Cocomo Joe’s and headed out for a
comfortable, leisurely ride down Cave Creek Rd., to Deer Valley
to 7th St. to Happy Valley Rd. to 67th Ave. We went south on
67th back to Deer Valley west to 83rd Ave. and back up to
Pinnacle Peak. We traveled west to N. Lake Pleasant Road and
went north from there to cross Carefree Highway and up New River
Rd. to I-17 and ended at Black Canyon City at the good old’ Rock
Springs Café.
They were waiting for us with the table set and coffee waiting,
which was welcomed. The weather was beautiful; however, there
was definitely a chill in the air riding through the desert.
What a fun sight to see 8 “biker chicks” walk in and sit down to
enjoy each other’s company and good food. And yes, some of
us did eat pie (thanks Pam & Janell for sharing with me). Lynne
was gracious enough to join us in her vehicle and had everything
waiting for us when we arrived!
The ride back was easy. We jumped on I-17 south and took the
Carefree Rd. exit east. Everyone split off from there depending
upon their own final destination.
All in all, it was a beautiful day with a group of terrific BMMC
ladies who rode well and had a good time getting better
acquainted. What a compliment it was to lead a group like we had
on Sunday.
Thanks Ladies, you made it a great ride and a good beginning for
our 2008 Ladies Only Rides. It was a sincere pleasure riding
with all of you.
