On Saturday evening, December 6, 2008, one-hundred twenty five excited members gathered at the beautiful Grayhawk Golf Club for BMMC‘s signature social event of  the year, “the 10th Annual Christmas Party”.

The members were greeted by Lori Kollas and Jim & Jacqui O’Hara at the reception table where they received their table assignments.  As the guests entered the lovely McDowell Room the tone was set for the evening by the festive holiday decorations and the wonderful ambience that only Grayhawk can deliver.

The evening began with a festive cocktail party, complete with butler passed delicious appetizers.  Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to socialize with old friends, and meet new friends.  Soon it was time for the guests to be seated for dinner and tables were called as a bountiful buffet was presented for their pleasure.

After a leisure dinner, complete with decadent desserts, president, Ron Small went to the podium to present the evening’s award’s presentation program.  The 2009 Officers and Directors were introduced to the membership. Retiring Director, Mike Lipsky was presented with a plaque in appreciation for his service as a member of the Board of Directors.

Next, the highlight of the evening, the presentation of the 4th Annual Lynn & Gerry Snodgres Member of the Year Award was made. This year’s award was presented to Paula Scardina and in Memory of Bill Scardina in recognition of their many contributions to BMMC.

At the conclusion of the awards presentations, Mike Stramaglio on behalf of the membership recognized Ron and Vickie for their contributions to the club, and presented them with an incredible gift tribute which was so graciously given by the Black Mountain Motorcycle Club Members.

It was now “TIME TO PARTY”!  The D.J. cranked up the music, and everyone moved to the dance floor and the party kicked into high gear. It truly was a magical and spectacular evening!

Many thanks to Paul Czarnik, Mickey Matteson, Dawn Barnett and Janette Boyd for forwarding their photographs for the slide show.
