9th Annual Black Mountain Motorcycle
Club Christmas Party
Review
On Saturday evening, December 1, 2007, one-hundred
forty-eight excited members gathered at the beautiful
Grayhawk Golf Club for BMMC ‘s signature social event of
the year, “the 9th Annual Christmas Party”.
The members were greeted by Sally Williams, and Kelly Iden
at the reception table where they received their table
assignments. As the guests entered the lovely McDowell
Room the tone was set for the evening by the festive
holiday decorations and the wonderful ambience that only
Grayhawk can deliver.
The evening began with a festive cocktail party, complete
with butler passed delicious appetizers. Everyone enjoyed
the opportunity to socialize with old friends, and meet
new friends. Soon it was time for the guests to be seated
for dinner and tables were called as a bountiful buffet
was presented for their pleasure.
After a leisure dinner, complete with decadent desserts,
president, Ron Small went to the podium to present the
evening’s awards presentation program. The 2008 Officers,
and Directors were introduced to the membership. Next, the
highlight of the evening, the presentation of the 3rd
Annual Lynn & Gerry Snodgres Member of the Year Award was
made.
This year’s award was presented to Jim & Michele Boomer
and Todd & Peggy Gerber for their outstanding
contributions to the club in 2007.
At the conclusion of the awards
presentations, Bart Iden, on behalf of the membership,
recognized Ron and Vickie for their contributions to the
club, and presented them with an “incredible gift tribute
of $6,000”, which was so graciously given by the Black
Mountain Motorcycle Members.
It was now “NOW TIME TO PARTY”! The D.J. cranked up the
music, and everyone moved to the dance floor for the first
dance of the evening, “Unchained Melody”. That’s all it
took, the BMMC party was off and running. It truly was a
magical and spectacular evening!
